weekly reading reflection term 3 week 2

I am reading Hunger Games it is a cool book it is about her little sister was meant to go to games but her big sister voulntered instead so her little sister wouldn't get hert she needs to procect her self from getting killed!!!

TERM 2 HIGHLIGHTS

I enjoyed going to NYLD!! The best speaker that inspired me was Dave he gave some great advice about how to be a great leader. If I had to chose two I would pick Annah Mac she inspired me because she started out as nothing but now she is one of the best singers in New Zealand and she was a great leader because she never gave up on her dream to sing out in public.

A highlight of this term was getting to be apart of the marimba group we get to play in rotorua it is going to be so cool on friday we get to play to old people we have gone to heaps of places to play last year we went to hamilton to play there was at least 400 people there we all played as one big group. We had to at least practice 10 times for each song but i still enjoy marimbas.

Another highlight is getting to play hockey/soccer for our school in the winter it is so much fun we are second on the table for hockey it will be hard we are virsing Te Aroha for hockey but for soccer we are virsing Mercy Bay  and Mercy Bay b we need to beat both teams to be in the top three they are both in first and second i hope we win it is good playing for our school because it is so fun!.


writing/art
Next term I want to work on is to making sure that i put a lot of description in my writing for art i want to make sure that i don’t mix light with dark because i turns out to looks brown ugly colour i hope i can write a good story for next term i also want improve on doing my art with dark on one side and light onto the other side so they don’t turn into another ugly brown.

maths/p.e
Next term i want to work on getting 20/20 in my MDR and try to get 100/100 in my basic facts test and in P.E I would like to participate in everything that we do because we have got cross country and we are training three times a week but mostly we get to play games I am going to give 100% in everything that I do in P.E and maths i hope i achieve my goals in maths and PE.

reading/dance
Next term i want to work on my reading/dance i want improve on getting my reading to get it up a level it is so fun doing reading/dance i hope that i can get better and better in reading i want to do better in dance as well because it is so fun just to get out and to do dance i hope we do dance again next term because i want to get better and better at dance.

It was so fun because we got to make cheesy toast at tech it was so nice and we made a  Milo as well  it was so nice tech is so much fun

 Susan Brocker was the author of brave Bess, Susan brocker in 1961 started writing fiction and non-fiction for both the educational and trade markets. She has worked in the writing and publishing industry since finishing her BA in History at the University of Waikato and in 1997 she became a full-time writer.Brockers first publication, What am I? (1994), was published while she was an in-house writer and editor at Shortland Publications. She has published over 50 books in the educational market, that span a range of fictional and non-fiction topics, including the natural world, social history and animals.Although she has written numerous children s books for the educational market, Brocker says ‘my major achievement has been writing novels for older children about subjects close to her own heart, trying to bring history alive in them.

Weekly reflection week 6 term 2

This week has been so fun we are about to go to tech it is so fun we have to make a box and we have got soccer training and we are vising the other Ngatea team  i hope we win we lost last time 6-0 but this time we have got Trent!

LEADERSHIP DAY

Leadership day was so fun we got to listen to cool leaders speak about what made them do what they want to do my favorite person that inspired me was Dave because he taught me leadership and to funny things to and if i had to chose a different person it would be ANNAH MAC!!!! she sang to us she was so cool. What i learnt is to always chose the right friends and be a great friend and a great LEADER
